Peeks into Process
Last week I put out an invitation to join me in a journey to #CreateEachDay, sharing your snippets of creation over on Instagram
and in the Virtual Art Circle on Facebook (FREE to join). Here are some peeks into my process of creating each day.
As always, be sure to listen to your inner guidance, respecting your own creative pace.
While the invitation for this journey is to create each day, it is important to follow your own needs and interpretation of what that means.
Perhaps one day it is a doodle, rearranging your space creatively, taking photographs in nature, or making a journal entry.
Whatever it is, trust your own process, and embrace all that you create each day!

Playing with paints in my art journal I often will make marks, letting the colours dance together
and then come back and let the painting speak to me.

I never know what images are going to emerge in this process, which is a big part of the journey.
The unknown being revealed, at least partially through the imagery.
My art journaling process follows my intuition and inner knowing.
This is what I guide others to do in my workshops, online and in person.

Simple shapes glued together make simple and quick sculptures. Symbols emerge after the pieces are put together.

Shadows emerge in the contrasts of the colours and the painting comes forth. It has a life of its own.
This is why I love art journaling so much! I never know what to expect

Contrasting colours, loose lines and shapes are seeds for my imagination.
Latter to become promises of a garden (see March 18th below).

Wolf visits, stepping out from the darkness, drawn out with oil pastels.

Visions of gardening dance through my head and spill out onto paper.

Sometimes my muse just wants to decorate and organize. Yesterday I repurposed drawers from when my sons were little.
A little sanding, a few extra nicks and a coat of stain and they are now drawers for art supplies.
