Listening to the sounds around me
I get pulled away from my Self
But I want to hear what others are doing.
how they are doing it
How great they are!

I do
BUT
at what cost?
Am I hearing, watching, taking in and appreciating?
Is it that simple?
A voice inside tells me otherwise
Look at them!
Look at you
Wow they are wonderful!
Look at you
They know just what to say!
Listen to you
They know just what to do!
And you?
What about you?

Silence…..

I try to block the voice out
I try not to compare
I try not to try so hard
To be me
To be ME
I try

Be
(silence . . .)

There is space enough for me to be me
There is room for my blunders
There is a place for me in this world and who I am
I can be me
Without being them
I can be me
Without loosing me
I can listen to them
And still be me
