Creative Life
Once upon a time there was a child. This child would play and explore to figure out new ways of being new ways of doing, new ways of creating. She created with pure curiosity no expectations, no specific outcome in mind. Hers was an unpredictable adventure and she was okay with that.
There were no outside instructions, no details of how to proceed written on paper like those that come with model toy sets. There was no need for that. For this girl knew inside what to do, how to proceed. She trusted this inner voice that spoke to her; the voice that encouraged her to continue.
Questions were welcome but not necessary.
Trust in self was a core belief. Doubt a rare visitor, respected for its gentle guidance when signals were crossed. This child was true to her intentions, doing only that which brought her joy. For she knew that once she acted from a place of obligation rather than desire she would be out of alignment with who she was. Her creation would be a byproduct of this struggle.
Creating was pure bliss. Exploration. Adventure. Discovery. No two things, events or creations were alike. Each with its own energy and life. Meaning forever transforming.
Every time she looked at what she created it had new meaning and insights and beauty to offer her.
She was never bored. Yet she was not always actively creating. Sometimes she would rest. Enjoying the beauty around her – every stone, pebble, fleck of dust.
As this child grew she learned to hold fast to these tools, keeping connected with the inner wisdom they allowed her to access.
She learned to tune out any comments others made which stemmed from their lack of connection. She refrained from taking on the expectations of others unless they were aligned with her inner map. She avoided much heartache this way for the baggage that weighed down her friends was never picked up by her. It wasn’t hers after all.
She knew that carrying this baggage would not serve her nor anyone else. She chose to leave it untouched as a reminder to others that they too could leave this stuff behind and choose to create from a place of joy.
