Visioning your creative life
Last weekend I guided a wonderful group of women through my Visioning Your Year Ahead workshop here in Toronto. It was an afternoon filled with much introspection, laughter, guided meditation, journaling and art making. The women who attended save one, had never made a vision board before and were eager to delve into this process. Tuning in to their visual wisdom they scanned through hundreds of magazine images looking for reminders of what they already knew deep inside but had eluded them.
We often forget that we have the answers inside, or if we remember we often don’t know how to access them.
Sometimes it’s a matter of asking the right questions, sometimes it’s about waiting for the right moment (although anytime is good to ask as we receive what we are ready for).
Often it’s a matter of having the right holding space for the answers to feel safe enough to come out. Support of some sort helps with this.
We aren’t always aware of what we need but we always know. The hardest part sometimes is trusting that inner knowing, and not second guessing ourselves when we are pulled in a certain direction other than where we thought we should be going.
When we honor our dreams by paying attention to them we are on our way to that connection we seek with ourselves and the world.
If you are in the Toronto area or nearby and would like to discover your creative wisdom, join me for one of my upcoming workshops! Too far away? No problem I have e-courses sure to Draw the Self Out.
